How to keep embedded pics in music from showing up in gallery?

Hi,

When I put music on my Nexus 7, the embedded pictures in the songs show up in my gallery, does anyone know how to prevent thsi from happening

That would depend on how you added music, if you're added music had a separate cover file, then yes it would show up in the gallery. Without additional information, I am simply guessing.

No, I am not talking about a separate cover file, I am talking about the album art frequently being embedded in the actual mp3 somehow. So if I add 100 songs on a playlist, I get a 100 new fricking pictures in my gallery, it is very irritating. If they are not embedded in the actual mp3 file, then the additional art files must be invisible in someway. Or maybe the gallery is automatically going out on the internet and finding the art because the song has been added to the music folder. I want to know how to stop this from happening.

Now that I think about it, when I first bought these Nexus 7's, the cover art for my books in my kindle and mood reader apps used to show up in the gallery as well, and somehow I was able to get that to stop, but it was over a year ago and I don't remember how I accomplished that. It wouldn't even be a big deal if they would lump under one album, but they don't. They each show up as an album in their own right. How could any software engineer think this was a good idea?

I remember how I got the reading apps to stop that, they did indeed have additional art files and I simply had to strip each of my books of that art before I added them to the tablet.
