rotation lock and speed
« on: September 03, 2015, 02:10:53 PM »
This is one of the very early Nexus 7s, purchased shortly after the initial upgrade in memory.  It seems to have started with my most recent OS update.  Now after it starts, which takes a bit longer than usual, the screen will lock into some orientation and not move irrespective of the rotation of the tablet.  All apps are very slow to launch and once open turning a page or pushing a button takes an exceptionally long time.  Functionally the tablet is no longer useful.

A problem related to the new OS?  Fixable?

Some sort of hardware glitch?  Fixable?

Mine slowed down as well, although not so much as to be non-useful.  I suggest you try wiping the partition cache every so often.  There is topic in here that describes how to do so.

When I upgraded to os 5.02 my Nex just got slower and slower. I found through the forum a way to revert to v4.4.4 and that cured things.
