Interesting. But I couldn't care less. When I'm on a road trip I simply use the FOXFI app on my phone to create a free wifi hotspot. Then I can connect my nexus 7 and download a books or whatever else.

Yes, 'The Verge' and 'Engadget' are also reporting this story and saying that the 'insider' that is reporting this has a good track record of rumors in the past.   Should be interesting to see if it is true.   It would be good if it is in order to combat the 'rumored' iPad Mini with 3g that some think will be introduced next month.

I wonder what they would call it?  Maybe the Nexus 7 plus?  The Nexus 8?  The Nexus 7.3(g)?  The possibilities are endless.
I used to be crazy until I found out that insane pays more.

Where am I?  What am I doing in this handbasket?

For the right cellular carriers in the US the Nexus 7 LTE sounds good but it'd have to be in the UK, as Tiny said, the Nexus 7.3G...

Personally I don't think it'll get a name change, it'll just be the Nexus 7 3G or LTE version?

I agree. For me with a mobile hotspot on my phone my N7 is always connected to the net. I use Tablet Talk also and get all my text, email and phone calls over to my tablet when I am on it.

The cellular carriers would love it.  $49.99 with a 2 year contract, free with a 3 year contract.  The reason I bought my N7 is free wi-fi, because I hate parasitic monthly fees.  A 3G N7 is a step backward, IMHO.

Could agree with you more, I use a Mi-Fi for my S2 when it's monthly contact data of 1.25GB is running low and the Mi-Fi is also for my Wi-Fi only PS Vita and now my N7.
Having multiple contracts of data is just too much but having the Mi-Fi and only one data plan for multiple devices is much easier to manage.
