After a lot of trial and error I finally solved the error 920 problem.
Eventually found command "Reset App Preferences" in Apps in Settings menu.
After that everything was normal and the N7 was back to it's speedy best.
Great fun looking back and I have learned a lot on the journey.

Doing a factory reset on my six month old Nexus 7.
All goes fine till restoring my Apps from my google account. After two thirds of my 140 Apps it just gives "cannot download due to error 920" message. From this point cannot manually download from google play or update apps, that to gets the error 920 message.
I have tried switching off wifi, forcing close of google services app and clearing data. Have done factory reset three times in a row but this always happens at about same point.
You guys helped me with a reset four months ago and went perfect. Is this an android update issue or something.
I am stumped and my vital SKY GO apps is one of the missing ones.
Any advice please?

Excellent result and a great learning curve.
Will enjoy the reset with all the backup options correctly addressed now I have been granted the time.
Thanks again Jay and hope others will pick up a few tips too.

Wow !
Thanks JayJ.
The 30 Second reset worked and now all seems to be more or less OK but still sluggish. Still 1.33 Gb space free so hat was not problem.
Maybe it is telling me it is time for a factory reset,
Glad you know your stuff with these tips and your Argos protocols.
To answer your question, when I tried to recharge the recharge box animation did not appear. But the device is up to 100% now.
Many thanks. Glad to know a few tips.

Oh joy of joys.
My four month old Nexus 7 has just suddenly stopped working. It was a bit sluggish this morning, this afternoon it is just dead with no response at all.
Just checking in case there is a reset or resuscitation method that I have missed ?
Bought from Argos in England so presumably the thing is on a years warranty.
Bit worried though as the stock code for the 16 GB does not seem to exist anymore. Can they wheedle out of it in any way ?

The quality is getting better. They have obviously turned the wick Up at their end.
The cricket live from India came across very well this morning.
Well done Sky.

We do though have a case of "three legged dog" syndrome, where you are so pleased to see it walking you lose sight of the fact that actually it is not walking very well.
On my N7 the resolution is quite poor. You can hardly read the onscreen scoreboards and information bars.
Hope this will be improved. Or is it just me?

It gets even worse with the news that you can now on any High Street in the UK get the new 32 GB Nexus 7 for £ 180.
Currys, Dixons and Comet have all dropped their price on this item, while us poor saps paid £ 199 just a month ago for 16GB. Mine is now 97 % full and I could really use the extra space.

This is a bombshell!
Cannot believe it. Feel totally let down. I bought mine from Argos. If These people are quite happy to use major distributors they should Treat all customers equally. After all the time spent registering and then Getting my receipt scanned and e-mailed, then trying to navigate The Asus site this is just too much.
Shocking!

It seems my curious Chinese reply from Asus looks like it is just an Acknowledgement. I assume when the people get back to work after The weekend they will be sending out our £ 25 vouchers right away.
Now we can get down to deciding how to spend it. It is only for the Asus website where there seems to be only two Nexus 7 accessories, the case At £ 14.99 and the charger at £ 19.99. When you put things in your basket A 6.00 delivery charge is automatically added so you cannot even get The charger completely free.
A bit expensive for a charger isn't it?

This is not a worldwide offer. Our american cousins are getting a larger discount. Several of us are trying to get the discount but no one has been successful so far. People are spending hours to get nowhere. Also we have found there is only one Nexus 7 accessory to spend the £ 25 voucher on if you can work out how to get it. Very annoying. Here is the other thread with members efforts ;- http://nexus7forum.com/index.php?topic=1538.0

Thanks very much to the forum for finding this offer that slightly makes up for the affront we have suffered.
Great to have the tips on this thread about registering and serial nos, but it still took 90 minutes.
I just get an e-mail reply in Chinese with my proof of purchaase attached.
What is going on ??

Thanks the info guys.
Just found my downloaded free movie Transformers was taking up 3gb, so getting rid of that has released a lot of space.
Still on a learning curve, planning to do a factory reset after two months and then treat it carefully and with the respect you have taught me to get the very best out of it-
