Nexus 7 Audio/Video / Re: Car Backup Camera
« on: March 16, 2013, 04:44:59 PM »
I can just see a whole freeway full of cars, all with tethered
rear-view cameras !  :o

Wouldn't it be something if one car 'sees' a view
from another car's camera instead of his own rear-view cam...
;D

Worms detected by converted iPhone microscope.  :o

Maybe an Android could do the same?
Anyone ever try it ?

New microscope app ??

Did you know that a coyote can run faster than a roadrunner?

Friend of mine who live in Oklahoma says that a coyote
will NOT chase a roadrunner.

all i know.

An honest to goodness, brand new, Wile E. Coyote - Roadrunner cartoon
made with today's technology (but all of the old humor).

    Enjoy!!!

This is the first Roadrunner done with computer graphics.

Lots can be done with computer graphics that will be far less expensive
to complete than those old Disney style drawn animations.

The computer graphics look good, and the video still has that 'Roadrunner' fun.

Only 3 minutes, but 3 minutes of fun! Be sure to go to "FULL SCREEN" mode.

Nexus 7 Accessories / Re: The dock revisited
« on: March 11, 2013, 05:40:39 PM »
I don't like the portrait docks as they use the mini-usb connector and i'm afraid that will get damaged.  The pogo pins are there to be used and you do get far superior audio via them than from the headphone socket.  If you are using a speaker with rechargeable battery then you still have the same problem - do you leave it on all night?  Doesn't that run the battery down?
I don't think this is the answer
The little amp uses a mirco USB to USB cord (comes with amp) to
charge.... but you have to get the charge-cube for the wall.
No cube included with amp.
I just plug in the cube with cord and let her run... no problem.

I think Philips electronics make a neat dock with ears on it.

Most bedside tables have small surface areas.
I think I would use a vertical stand (portrait mode) since
it would have the smallest footprint.

I bought this for a nifty add-on speaker.
It has a rechargeable battery.
It does not come with a charger cube.
It comes WITH a USB cabe and AUDIO cables only.

Nexus 7 User Tips / Re: Google Now Voice Commands Guide

I like this thread :-*

when i bought my new Nexus7, i learned the beginner's basics and
started loading a whole bunch of new apps... including maybe
two or three 'tools' type apps.

Then i HAD TO put some info into a folder using my WinXP'
Then i did the transfer of that folder to the new Nexus7.

Mine worked fine.... I used the USB cable and no problem.
The only thing is.... I had to wait.... perhaps a full minute or two
for the PC to recognize the Nexus7. It took a while though.

It worked without a hitch.
