Apple have just announced their iPad mini at $329 and in the presentation, tried comparing it to the Nexus 7 !!

iPad 4 was also announced.

UPDATE: UK price for 16GB Wifi iPad mini will be £269.

Nexus 7 Android OS (Jelly Bean) / System bar lock setting for hiding/showing system info

When I had my ASUS Transformer Prime, there was a firmware update (ICS v9.4.2.21 I believe) that introduced an unlock settings function related to the system bar, which allowed you to hide/show system information.

You could hide/show the system bar via a swipe of the bar.

This would effectively disable the home/back buttons, which was useful when watching a video, so that you could use the seek-bar without pressing home by accident.

Is this, or something similar, available for the (un-rooted) ASUS Nexus 7 ??

Nexus 7 Help / Screen response lags sometimes (CHROME ??)

Anyone else notice occasional screen response being slow, or non-responsive ??

I see it a lot in CHROME (OK, I could use another browser), but sometimes I see it in other apps as well.

In CHROME, when you touch a link, nothing happens and you have to touch it a 2nd or 3rd time.

Is there any touch/screen calibration on the Nexus 7 ??

I am running stock firmware (I don't want to root before anyone asks

)

Nexus 7 Help / Play MUSIC from phone on Nexus 7

Hi.

I have 30Gb+ of MUSIC stored on my (Samsung Galaxy S3) phone but I would like to play it on my Nexus 7.

I've tried BT but although the 2 devices connect, I can't seem to find a way to play music via BT.

Is that possible ?? If so, what do I need to do please ??

As per the subject, I've just received my Nexus 7 from eBuyer.

Only ordered it yesterday and it arrived at 08:02 this morning !!

Gonna have a PLAYful day today
