Nexus 7 ROM Discussions / ROMs Offered for the Nexus 7 at This Time
« on: October 25, 2012, 09:52:10 AM »
Lately, I have begun to see some buzz related to the various ROMs offered for our beloved Nexus 7.  Strewn through this forum, and others, I have seen various lists of the ROMs currently available for the device.  I felt that since each list has some minor differences, I would try and compile all of the ROMs I could find, along with a quick synopsis of each one.  As time goes on, I will flash each one on my device, and post some of the notable findings/bugs.  Please, if I have missed any, send me a PM, and I will add it to the list.  I will be obtaining the information from the various forums I am part of, and other repositories, and will try and note them all at the end.  Also, as the list is going to be sizable, if a new version of the ROM comes out, and I miss it, please send me a PM, and I will update the link.
Thanks, and happy flashing!

Welcome to the forum DaxFX!

Did you purchase the media in question at the Google Play Store?  If so, by signing into the store, it should come back by itself.

Safe mode on the phone is similar to that on a computer.  Basically, it opens an app free image of your device.  This gives you a free slate to add your apps, one by one, and find a troublesome app.  The cool thing is your not wiping your device, so when you get out of Safe Mode, your device is as you left it.

"F" is for Froyo, the name of Android 2.2.

Mavrickman360 is accurate.  I don't think you can go from the N7 to anything without the computer interface, to my knowledge.

25
No problem.  Please post your findings, as I'm sure many will benefit from that slice of info.

It depends on how you look at it.  If you're referencing what we would traditionally think of as the Stooges, then it would be Larry.  That said, Ted Healy was the first to headline the group, and it started with Shemp, Moe, and Curly Joe, which were brothers.

Welcome.  Now I have to ask, is the lab working on making a better potato?

I'm only kidding.

Nexus 7 Apps / Re: New Unwanted Apps Appearing On Screen??
« on: October 23, 2012, 06:44:20 PM »
I've had great luck with Battery Defender as well.  I love the fact that it give me the ability to mess with the settings, thus giving me the flexibility to tweak until I get it the way I like.

As far as whether or not it is worth buying the ultimate or other paid versions, I myself, have the Ultimate, and it gives me some more bells and whistles, but IMHO, I mainly bought the app just to show support.  I suppose, in a nutshell, it may be worth the couple of dollars, but it really isn't a deal breaker, as the free version works very well.  I am simply the type of guy who likes buying the donate version to show support for quality apps.  There's so much trash out there, when I encounter something worthy, I show some gratitude.

Do you want to go directly from the Nexus to the Sylvania via cord connection?  If not, you could use the computer as your interface, then drag and drop from one to the other.

You're half right Prime, it was Curly who "resembled" the remark, but there were six Stooges in total.
Moe
Larry
Curly
Shemp
Joe Besser
Curly Joe

The last three being complete crap.  I've attached the Three Stooges website for all of us to enjoy.  I have based a majority of my adult life on some of the teaches of these guys.  Nuk, nuk, nuk.....
