Nexus 7 Ordering and Shipping / Re: Ship Date?« on: July 13, 2012, 10:57:45 AM »
it's all about expectation. rumors started cropping up about early release and everyone got excited and then frustrated. it's still within google's original estimated time frame, and i never expected to get my own personal nexus any earlier than that. i'm totally fine with the release lol. i don't really care about gamestop acting on its own against google's accord. i just want to be able to store the whole damn us map in the nexus at once

Nexus 7 Accessories / Best Case/Cover For Nexus7« on: July 12, 2012, 08:32:42 PM »
Tons of covers have been starting to come in - whats your choice?
A talk about this started a little with the discovery of the wake/sleep magnetic feature - however, I'm not a fan of the Asus official covers - so what are you guys going with? This one http://www.amazon.com/i-BLASON-Google-Genuine-Leather-Warranty/dp/B008GEHWWQ/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1342058414&sr=8-4&keywords=nexus%20covers&tag=vglnkc4944-20 was mentioned in the other thread as well, but I'm wondering if that auto wake/sleep function is genuine - they had to have gotten their hands on one from the developer conference to have been able to discover that feature right? I guess no one can really confirm if it works either too. Anyone else have any good choices? 36

Nexus 7 Ordering and Shipping / Re: Ship Date?« on: July 09, 2012, 06:52:24 PM »I called Google this morning to ask about changing my pre-order from an 8 GB model to 16 GB. The guy I talked to looked up my 6/29 pre-order date, and said he can't change my order, because it's too close to the ship date, and I'd lose my position in the queue. He said I could make another pre-order, and refuse delivery of my existing pre-order. just a thought, you might have to wait longer for the time being but you might regret not going 16 later if that's what you wanted 45
Nexus 7 General Discussion / Re: Nexus 7 Vs. Galaxy Tab 7.7« on: July 05, 2012, 08:01:24 PM »
i think the tab 7.0 is more comparable but the key with 7.7 is that it is the version that runs 3g with verizon - a really good fit for all this cloud storage kind of stuff. of course it'd matter more if it were ever slated to get jellybean, with all the google now features etc but i doubt it
