i think instead of "wishing" we had more storage/external drive we should be wishing the nexus 7 came with 4g, shouldn't we? that's an extra 5 gigs from google, from dropbox, on and on that can be managed on the go. given that verizon is restructuring its data plans so that "smart" devices all draw from one pool of data, i think that would have been the best way to go

Nexus 7 General Discussion / Re: What Business Functions Does the Nexus Offer?« on: July 03, 2012, 08:14:59 AM »Oh, I wouldn't even think about getting a Playbook now that the Nexus 7 is here. The Nexus 7 is FAR superior in my opinion. First off with the Nexus 7 you have access to literally HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of Android apps. The app selection on the Playbook is far more limited. You can find a whole bunch of different programs that can do what you're wanting as far as working with Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint documents and more for the Nexus 7. You can then easily attach them to email via gmail or any other email you access through the browser. was hoping it would come with quickoffice, as my droid pro did, but with google drive/docs is there really a need for that anymore? google drive can create word docs and spreadsheets, which is 99.9% of what I would need, if I even did need those 50

tbh what this device makes me want most, is it's second generation iteration, as silly as that might sound - for all that they may address from the initial reactions.
i understand the microsd card slot absence, especially since they want to move to the cloud - but without 3g/4g, we can only access this data when we have wifi, correct? one thing is for certain - i won't be interested in the kindle fire 2, no matter if it has a removable sd card and rear facing camera - i have no interest in the skin the kindle uses over the os 53

Nobody really uses the rear camera in most tablets so I feel this is a fair tradeoff to keep the price down. The front camera will enable Google Chat calling though with video and Skype as well. so this WILL be able to do turn by turn nav? 55

Can someone help me decide?
