If you've been wanting to purchase a good quality bluetooth wireless speaker to pair up with your Nexus 7 then there's a great deal going on right now.   Amazon and Philips have two great models on huge discount right now.  The first, the Philips Shoqbox Wireless Portable Bluetooth Speaker with Built-In Mic SB7260/37 (Purple) gets rave reviews and it's 75% off at only $49.99 (usually $199.99).  The model on sale is in purple which really looks sharp but it's also available in three other colors.   You can even pair two of them together to create a left and right stereo wireless soundfield powerhouse.  Pretty sweet.   It's built like a tank too and is weather resistant so you can take it outside, even splash it with water and it'll keep pumping out the tunes.  Even has a built-in mic so you can use it as a speakerphone.

If you want something a little smaller they also have the Philips SBT30/27 SoundShooter Wireless Portable Bluetooth Speaker for only $24.99 (50% off).   This thing is really cool...it looks kinda like a little hand grenade but the only thing exploding out of it is sound.   It's available in a variety of colors including black, blue, green, orange and more.   It also has a built-in mic for hands free calls.   Just toss one of these things in your backpack or bag and you'll have a great portable speaker that gets over 8 hours of battery life on a charge.  And for only 25 bucks?  It's a no brainer.

I should add that Philips makes quality stuff.   The speaker sound quality and bass response is fantastic.  This is not a cheap no name brand that sounds like junk.  This is the real deal.  Grab one or two while they got em at these prices.

If you've got young kids around this holiday then you'll want to take advantage of this great sale that Disney is having on many of their most popular games and apps through the Google Play Store.  Many of their most popular titles such as Where's My Water, Monsters Inc. Run, Temple Run Oz, Where's My Perry and more are only 49 cents each.  Some such as The Muppets Show, Disney Hidden Worlds and Nemo's Reef are free.  Definitely worth taking advantage of these prices and grab yourself a few Disney titles as a stocking stuffer on your Nexus 7.  I personally recommend Temple Run: Brave and Wreck-It Ralph but heck, there's so many good titles here for both me and the kids I'm gonna grab a bunch more.

You've probably seen this all in one bluetooth keyboard stand cover over in the lower left market area of our forum and it's a popular item as not only does your Nexus 7 slip right into the slot behind the keys, acting as a stand, but the entire keyboard also snaps right onto the top of your Nexus 7 acting like a 'cover' with a rubberized back that matches the rubberized feel of your tablet.

Well normally this keyboard, sold by Minisuit and other chinese electronics importers, sells for between $23-$30.   But right now there's a blowout on Ebay for the new 2013 Nexus 7 FHD model for only $12.95...and that's with free shipping to boot!   The keyboard connects to your Nexus 7 via bluetooth so there's no cables to carry around.   Truth be told it's not going to give you the typing experience of a $50 or $100 dedicated bluetooth keyboard, but it's surprisingly capable and the fact that it's so portable and so inexpensive might mean you use it more.   As they say...the best keyboard is the one you have with you, right?  The keyboard charges fully in 4-5 hours and that gets you around 55 hours of use or 60 days of standby time.  Everyone should really grab one of these as it's the perfect accessory for your 2013 Nexus 7.  It's only $12.95...we've never seen it this low before and it's basically 50% off.  Grab one at the link below.

The back has a nice rubberized black material to match your Nexus 7 FHD

If you've been waiting for some deep holiday discounts on a tablet then you're gonna love this.  The Nook HD Wi-Fi is only $79.99 right now on Ebay Daily Deals.  That's a full $50 off the regular list price of $129.99 for a new unit, which is already a bargain for a 'better than Full HD' 7 inch Android tablet.  Now this is a manufacturer refurbished and certified unit and as you probably know they are basically indistinguishable from brand new and come with a manufacturers warranty.

The Nook HD Wi-Fi unit has an awesome 7 inch 1440 x 900 gapless IPS display with 243 pixel per inch sharpness and runs on a speedy Dual Core Ti OMAP 4470 @ 1.3GHz processor along with powerful POWERVR SGX544 GPU.  It runs Android 4.0 comes with 8GB of memory that is expandable via MicroSD card and has access to not only the Nook Market but the entire Google Play Store with hundreds of thousands of apps, movies,tv shows and books.  For the money this can't be beat and it makes a great stocking stuffer for anyone in the family.  You can also easily root the Nook HD and put a custom ROM like CyanogenMod and have a full Android Tablet for only 70!   These make an awesome starter tablet or second tablet for you, the wife or the kids.   Now it's of course not as powerful as the Nexus 7 but it still has a really good high resolution display and decent processor.  For the price it's a great little tablet.

What's over 6 foot tall, wears curly toed shoes and looks ridiculous in an elf uniform.  That's right...Will Ferrel in the classic Christmas time movie 'Elf'.  In the holiday spirit, Google Play is giving a free download of 'Elf' to all in standard definition.  You can download it right here from the Google Play Movies & TV section.   Of course if you want to watch it in high definition you'll have to pony up a few bucks to pay for the privilege but will you really laugh any more...probably not.   Regardless it still looks and watches terrific on your Nexus 7 and acts as an introduction to all the other great movies and tv shows you'll find on Google Play.  What's your favorite scene in ELF?  Let us know in the comments below!

Just Dropped An Additional $8 To $50.45 (was $58.24)

One of the most commonly asked accessory questions I get is regarding what bluetooth keyboard I use with my Nexus 7.  While most of us use our tablets for web surfing, game playing and other non-typing activities, some of us...myself included...like to get down to work sometimes and having a real keyboard rather than the on-screen keys can make a huge difference in your productivity.  The problem with most bluetooth keyboards I've found is that either the keys are too small...or the bluetooth connectivity is too dicey and thus I end up frustrated by either making too may typos or fussing with the thing to get to connect with my Nexus 7.

Enter the Microsoft Wedge Bluetooth Keyboard.   This thing rocks.  And yes, it's made by Microsoft but it's terrific for use with my Nexus 7.   I used to use a Logitech bluetooth keyboard but this has recently taken over as my keyboard of choice when on the road.  Why?  Well first off the keys are large with very little space between and they have a great feel.  The keyboard is really light and compact, yet the large keys and solid construction make this about as comfortable to type on as a standard keyboard.  Second is the connectivity.  This thing connects with my Nexus 7 every time and never drops connection.  It's really responsive too...basically as good as a wired keyboard.   I also like the design.  The cover folds over and acts as a stand for my Nexus 7 and when I'm done it pops back onto the top of the Wedge keyboard and it automatically powers off the keyboard.  Pretty slick.

Now, it's true that the Wedge was originally designed for Windows tablets and you can see the Windows button on it, but to be honest it's so good with my Nexus 7...who cares.  I can type 4x as fast with this keyboard than trying to use the onscreen keys...and an additional bonus is you can see the entire screen when typing...no need to have half of it covered with the onscreen keys.  It uses two AA batteries...which it includes, and right now it's selling for almost $30 off on Amazon for $50.45 and that includes Free Shipping.  If you've been looking for the 'best' bluetooth keyboard around for about fifty bucks...this is the one I'd get.  It makes a great gift...for anyone with a bluetooth equipped tablet...or yourself.   In addition to the Nexus 7, it also works with Windows tablets, iPads...heck, even your bluetooth equipped phone, so it's really perfect if you're a multi-device person.  :)

The 2013 Nexus 7 is equipped for Qi wireless charging.  The official Google Nexus Qi Wireless Charger costs $49.99 and it works, but we know some have complained it's a little hard to hit the spot 'just right' with the Nexus 7 and that it probably works better for the Nexus 5.   So what Qi wireless chargers are you guys using for your 2013 Nexus 7?  What are the positives and negatives of each?  Which works...and looks good and is priced right?   Let's hear everyone's experience and make this the ultimate 2013 Nexus 7 Qi Wireless Charger thread!

If you've been waiting for the Chromecast to go on sale and save a few bucks plus get Free Shipping to boot then here's your chance.  Amazon is selling Google's smash hit media streaming dongle for 14% off, $29.99 and is throwing in the shipping for free.  Current ship times are only 3-5 days so you can still get this before Christmas.  With the recent introduction of 10 new compatible apps, along with the already awesome HBOGO, Hulu+, Netflix, Pandora and more you won't find a better bang for your buck when it comes to streaming media this holiday.  Stream music, movies and video right from your mobile device onto your big screen tv or monitor with the press of a button. Google has also promised 'waves' of new compatible apps soon so Chromecasting will just get better and better.  It's the perfect compliment to your Nexus 7.  Grab one at the link below before they raise the price back up.
