I think you wrapped it up pretty well, RG!
A lot of the Nexus 7 features are part of JB, which the Galaxy might or might not get eventually. But the 7 is just more Google oriented and pure android, since it doesn't have the TouchWiz overlay like the Galaxy has.
I'm sure I left out some other features (Bluetooth, GPS). Add the price factor and no one else gets close to the 7.

Also in the protection arena is the app, 'Anti Spy Mobile', which will detect and remove any spyware on your tab.

Of course, I guess I keep dreaming that that 7 has full-size USB! This is the smallest setup I could find: I will keep looking and let you know if I find anything.

Almost any electronic store or internet site will carry a flash or "thumb" drive for USB. It does stick out tho'. Some of the newer ones are smaller. They make flash drives all the way up to 256 gigabytes.

I think you will like it, toondw.
In addition to the above, there are also Tegra3 games like Riptide 3 and JetCar Stunts that make use of the accelerometer and gyroscope in the 7. They offer a totally unique experience you won't find anywhere else.

Even though I use Netflix, I would use Google Play for more recent shows I was willing to pay for and shows I would watch more than once. Right now, Netflix is $7.99 unlimited a month (rent) and Google is on a per show basis anywhere from $.99 to $17.99 (buy). Google would definitely earn more of my business if they offered a monthly fee for full access, with option to purchase.

I will probably use it for all of the above. I do use my 10" tab a lot, but this one will be the perfect size to "grab and go" when I leave the house.
Speed, form, and function at a killer price, what more can you ask for?

Yes, you can hook it up to your computer or external mouse, keyboard, etc. Just no storage at the moment, such as a SDCard or portable USB drive. That is all subject to change as the 7 heads into the hands of creatives out there (who will hopefully share on this forum).

It looks like the first dock will be coming out (audio only). http://www.pocket-lint.com/news/46308/asus-nexus-7-audio-dockApparently, the 7 has four docking connectors on the side and will sit horizontally on this dock. I wonder what else you can do with these docking connectors?

Yes, it will come with a USB charger and a USB to micro-USB cable. If you have a car adapter that is USB, check the voltage to see if it matches the Nexus 7 specs. If you are not familiar with AC/DC voltage and ratings, just buy a Nexus 7 car charger on Amazon, EBay, etc. You don't want to under/over charge your new tab and ruin the battery.
They should be available pretty soon as after-market retailers will have any and every thing you'll need for this tablet.

True, I guess that is their plan as they did design this tablet to work with the Google Play Store. But it is so much more than that and, for this price, people are going to mod, hack, and hot rod this tab to death. Obviously, I'm not one of them but I love to discover and ride the Android train. I just hope they have kept this device open enough to do that.
I think it will be a fun ride and hope a lot of the above happens on this forum.
