i hate mobile internet pages
« on: September 24, 2012, 08:00:06 PM »
Is there a way to surf without being forced to mobile versions of pages?

OK I found the request desktop version in options on right side of address bar, but I still can't go to desktop version of Google maps.  Trying to do direction search for two places i'm not at.

Why are you using the web version of Google Maps when you have a Google Maps app on the N7?

Because I want to search two points I'm not at.  Ie.  I'm in Colorado but want to see how far the drive is from Albuquerque to Farmington.  Google app needs location services turned on.

Maps.Google.com I could be wrong but doesn't this page allow you to get directions from any two places on the globe?
Just don't allow your location when prompted.

What bjs said. Use the maps app,  touch the directions icon, and replace "My Location" with Farmington and "End Point" with Albuquerque.
