Maybe I am misinterpreting the problem. I thought no posts made today showed the quoted person's I'D until midnight.

Now I see the quotee's ID appears today, if the quoted material was posted yesterday.

Yes that's right, if you quote a person and their post is from that day the ID does not display until midnight but you quote somebody from yesterday then the ID appears...

Confusing or what...

I agree that it is very confusing, therefore, except for testing in this topic, I have chosen to refrain from quoting in Tapatalk, until it is corrected. I would feel really bad if the failure to quote correctly led to an offensive post, on my part.
