In short I love the case but not so much the colour :)

In fact the colour is enough for me to not use it and I'm now testing the Poetic Slimline....review to follow :)

Truly elegant and classy, it is undoubtedly a masterpiece of craftsmanship.

But, does it offer adequate protection against the Nexus 7's Achilles' heel: accidental drops?

I threw mine down the street in a cheap cloth case. I'm using it right now. I think Achilles would be proud of how his body held up.

I like the design. Similar to mine. I like the folio style that doesn't molest you're screen. I like having a little bit of padding on my screen though.

Nothing short of concrete is going to truly protect any electronic device from dropping really.

I haven't dropped it in the Noreve case, but I would say that the "padding" on all the corners and top and bottom would be sufficient to be able to protect your baby :)
