CM10.1
« on: December 27, 2012, 09:52:09 PM »
Over the holiday, I flashed CM10.1. I really seem to like it. This was an official release, so everything works. I haven't even had Bluetooth issues.

Anyone else jumped on this yet?

I tried CM10.1 on my N7 but had Superuser crashes, everyone an app asked for Superuser permission it crashed. What a nightmare, reflashed it with a full wipe and still the same...

I an currently running it on my Nexus 4, fantastic ROM with some great additional features.

Did you have SuperSu or Superuser?

When rooting both my 4 & 7 SuperSU was installed but CM comes with SuperUser, no problems on my N4 but the N7 SuperUser kept crashing. As above I tried updating the binary but it was up to date, I tried re-flashing the ROM and even re-downloaded the zip but the same problem persisted...

Odd, I had the same. SuperSu, then Superuser with the ROM.  When did you try it out? It was just released as officially supported last week.  That's the only reason that I took the jump.  I want everything to be working properly.  In the nightlies, this isn't always the case.

I ended up putting it on my wife's Nexus so she can have vertical scrolling in the app drawer.  She has an HTC rezound and the drawer scrolls vertical, while the stock Nexus scroll is horizontal.  She would forget which way to scroll almost every time!

It was odd and a dam nightmare, I did a nandroid with TWRP before installing CM10.1 but wanted to use CMupdater so then flashed CWM from ROM Manager with no problems but then with the SuperUser problems I wanted to restore my backup so wanted reflash TWRP from Goo Manager but SuperUser kept Force Closing...
Got really frustrating and didn't have access to my Laptop at the time, finally deleted SuperUser with Root Explorer and reinstalled from GP.

Anyway, I've flashed CWM recovery onto my N7, redownloaded 10.1, flashed CM10.1 and everything is working fine atm.

So, have CM10.1 on my Nexus 4 & Nexus 7... :)
