Ah, I was being dense. Just ran thru a bunch of sites on the pc, turned off the wifi, and started hitting the back button. Never had a reason to do that before. Don't know why I bothered.

So what exactly do you want, to store web sites for viewing when out of wifi range, or just faster page loads of previously viewed content? I'm missing the point. Illuminate.

I just want efficiency. If youre going to hit the back button of course you just want to go where you were previously. Theres absoluletly no reason to refetch it from the web by default. If you need a more current version of the page you can simply hit refresh.

Maybe it's just a vast conspiracy to expose you to as much advertising as possible. Or a bug. Mebbe 4.2.2 will fix it, but I quit holding my breath due to oxygen starvation.

Hitting the back or forward button with Lightning shows the page with WiFi disconnected.

Thanks I'll check out lightning then.  I've also heard its one of the fastest.
