Problem solved - partially.
I'm trying to not go through Google, even temporarily, because once data gets on Google servers it's probably remains there in some form even if deleted. The obvious solution is to use export/import functions. But my phone and nexus calendar apps did not have compatible export file formats.
So, I now use the same app (Business Calendar). I was able to export from BC on the phone and import the ics file on the nexus.
Remaining 2 problems I need to solve:
On the nexus (Android 4.2.2) I was able to use BC to create a "local" calendar that is totally unconnected to Google. On the phone (Android 2.3.4) the same BC will not create a similar local calendar. I'm guessing that this may therefore be a limitation of Android 2.3.4. Is it?
So on the phone I'm using a calendar that is potentially syncable to my Google account. Even though I marked it to NOT sync I am afraid that it might accidentally (during an update or error by me) send my data to Google. If it were a local calendar like on the nexus that would not happen.
Second problem is how to keep the 2 android calendars and my pc synced without going through Google or the cloud. I can easily transfer files from one to the other (by email, usb, etc) but that is not true syncing. I'm working with "MyPhoneExplorer" which looks promising.
I'm trying to work these out. Any ideas would be welcome.
