Newegg. Man I have seen them around since the days of my Mac Color Cassic and Windows 3.1 systems. I am an instant gratification type of guy. It killed me having to order my OTB cables online. I drove around to every computer store in the area like a jack off trying to find one of these cables that nobody seemed to know existed.
LOL, know what you mean there, Newegg. I ended up having to explain to everyone at bestbuy and radioshack what an OTG cable was, and does. They were amazed, and never knew it existed! Thank you AMAZON!

Yeah, strollin, Nexus media importer is a fantastic find. to be able to access flash drives, media hubs, portablw hard drives, etc.....and all without having to root the device. Too bad that exporting media FROMthe tablet to the flash drive, is not a capability, as of yet.
But, all in all, an incredible app. I have a drawer full of various flash drives loaded with music and movies. and carrying a few of them around in my pocket is truely entertainment on the go.

I, personally, would never consider a tablet of any type a 'computer', per say. They are, for all intents and purposes, 'media consumption' devices with very minimal computing capabilities. And I don't think anyone, really, would rely on them as thier sole device for productivity. Now, with that being said, I personally think that may be about to change, somewhat, with the upcoming Windows 8 tablets. It appears that Microsoft is upping the game as far as tablet functionality is concerned. All preliminary reviews for these devices have been impressive. It'll be interesting to see how the public responds.

Great find, bob7794. This app is simply fantastic. Have had some real fun with this the past couple of days.

I'm a fan of 'go keyboard'. Level of customization is off the chart. I particularly like the ability to use a gallery photo as a keyboard background, and then set the transparency to 'fade' the image back some. Now, with that being said, I've recently switched over to 'smart keyboard pro' simply because of a 'Batman; themed keyboard available for download. And, being an absolute Dark Knight fanatic, this was too cool to pass up.
I'm not much of a fan of the 'swipe' keyboard feature. It just doesn't appeal to me at all. So I run SKpro on my NX7, and go keyboard on my galaxy s3.

Agree with the above post. I traded my Galaxy tab 2 7.0 in for the 16gig NX7 at gamestop (They gave me $150 credit for it!), and it was an absolute no brainer, notwithstanding the expandable memory, imho, the NX7 is superior in every way. And, as posted above, just the thought of receiving timely updates, makes the choice even easier.

I use Lookout on my NX7 as well. All-in-all it probably do an absolute world of good, But it's a very well reviewed and respected app, isn't really annoying, and, what the heck, it's certainly not gonna hurt!

Agree totally with prime on the 'security update' statement. Heck, anyone that owns a pc can attest to the fact that 'flash' security updates seems like an every-other-day event. As far as my own NX7 is concerned, I haven't experienced any of the screen issues described above.

I'll second that on the external storage. This would, without question be top of the wish list for me personally. And yknow, Since quick and timely o.s updates are surely something we can all look forward to on our Nexus devices, I had just about completely ruled out having to root my NX7. But the thought of being able to take advantage of external storage options on a rooted device has probably changed my mind.

Also, I got a Blackberry Playbook tablet before because I have an Android phone and thought "Whats the point of a larger version of my phone?" So wrong. I loved my BB tablet
I had a BB playbook at one time as well, Kyi. I ended up taking it back to Office Depot, and ultimately bought a galaxy tab 2 7.0. Of course, a proud NX7 owner now. And actually, I thought the playbook was a well made device with a gorgeous screen. The original shipped with NO NATIVE EMAIL CLIENT!Can you imagine a BB without native email. And although the 2.0 firmware update resolved some of those oversites, it's lack of support and the scant BB app world, just doomed it. Otherwise, a decent device.

You could almost see the smirk on his face, like....'Why am I doing this'?

Latest rumors on the Ipad mini is that the price point will be $250-$300, indicating that there will be 2 storage options (and, typically, no expandable storage). Also it's been said that it will not sport the retina display, as well. Seems to me that the retina display is one of the chief 'drawing cards' of the ipad. we'll see how it competes with the NX7. Ya know it'll be 'fanboy' euphoria!
