@wpb1960

Have you tried rebooting? It's simple but often works like a charm...

Failing that, Settings> Apps> All> Google Play> Clear data and Force stop...

Open GP, agree to T&C's and try again.

A stupid question, but are people, who are having problems, using the correct zip file?

I believe there is one for original Nexus 7 and one for 3G version.

Ignore me if I'm talking rubbish.

I download this file to the PC and copy it to the download directory of N7

6ece895ecb23.signed-nakasi-JDQ39-from-JOP40D.6ece895e.zip

I also use Chrome on N7 and dowloaded it  directly, both files are the same but still failed when install using TWRP

Has anyone successfully installed the 4.2.2 update with TWRP?  If not, tomorrow I will do a "How To" on replacing TWRP with CWM Touch and we can test the upgrade. Apologies, but my work takes priority over the enjoyment in the forum and it has been a busy work week.

I installed the update via ota, yet my android version is still in 4.2.1. I tried cchecking for system update but the system says that i am up to date. Btw, my nexus is rooted.
 How do I know if I am really on 4.2.2 now?

Thanks, so what do I need to do?

Have you gotten the update again when rebooting? If so why is it failing? Are you getting an error message? Are you rooted? If you haven't gotten the update again you might try and force it using the Google framework trick.  Google framework is in settings /apps /all section. Clear the data and then quickly move to about tablet in settings and update device.  The update should then appear. You might have to try it a couple times. If no dice we need to dive in further.

Finally got updated.  I was getting an assert/debuggerd error. I replaced my debuggerd file with a fixed one I found on X@A and flashed the update no problem. Not sure why my file was corrupted to begin with.  If anyone is getting the same error I will make the file available. It replaces the debuggerd file in system/bin

I upgraded painlessly with Paranoid Android 3.0. It initially ran on 4.2.1. Within days (on Valentines Day), it was running on 4.2.2.

I'm not the lowest of the low, but I am the slowest of the slow (49.6 mpg over 38k miles in  Scion xB)
